This class takes field trips to other locations.
We ask that you still bring your crates or x-pens when on field
Build and strengthen Odor Obedience.
Build a reliable final response.
Sharpens the handler's observation skills.
Moves on to more intricate searches.
Training for NWI trial (even if you do not ever trial).
Whether you just want to have more fun with your dog or prepare for
an NWI trial, this class will do both.
The National Association of Canine Scent Work (TM) (NACSW) sets the
standards governing the sport of K9 Nose Work (TM). The NACSW is the
only official sanctioning and organizing body for K9 Nose Work
titles and ORTs. The art and practice of nose work has now reached
dogs of all shapes and sizes and has made basic search dog skills
available to companion dogs, creating a new urban sport arena for
dog enthusiasts. Paws-Abilities is proud to host a sanctioned NACSW
– Odor Recognition Test. All dogs participating in the ORT must be
registered with the NACSW. All handlers must also be members of the
NACSW. Membership and registration are available at:
www.nacsw.net/nacswmembership.html. Membership and Registration must
be completed at least 6 weeks prior to the ORT to allow for
processing time. Depending on the number of registrations, we may
assign time slots to minimize wait time. Cost: $25
